Directions for Applying Simply Minerals

Simply Face:

Loose Mineral Foundation:

Tap a small amount of loose mineral foundation powder into the top of your jar, and swirl your flat-top foundation or kabuki brush into it. Tap the bottom of the handle with the brush head facing upward on a hard surface (eg. bathroom counter). This settles the powder into the brush head. Firmly spread powder on clean, dry skin to evenly blend pigments. For the most natural look, start with less powder, and buff it in well, using a circular motion.

For those with dry, flaky skin, Simply Face loose mineral foundation can be blended with our PH Balancing Moisturizer to create a cream foundation. First, moisturize as usual, then tap a small amount of powder into the palm of the hand. Add a drop of moisturizer. Blend the two products together until a smooth, creamy consistency is achieved. Use your fingers or make-up wedge to apply.

Simply Cheeks:

Loose mineral blushes are very concentrated and should be applied sparingly. The simplest way to apply them is with a cotton ball. Press the cotton ball onto the sifter, then tap the jar so a little bit of blush powder gets on the cotton ball. Then gently glide the color over the apples of the cheek, and blend. If you prefer to use a brush, a fan brush is the best option. A traditional blush brush isn't recommended, as it picks up too much of the powder.

Simply Eyes:

Simply Eyes can be used as eyeshadow or contour color, or as liquid liner.

To use as an eyeshadow, tip the container at an angle, and tap it until some powder rests on the edge of the sifter. Gently swirl a firm shadow brush into the powder, and then tap the handle of the brush onto the side of the container, letting excess powder fall back into the jar. Apply the shadow with short, firm strokes, then follow up with a swipe of a blending brush until all visible lines are softened.

You could also choose a lighter color as a highlighter to apply under the brow. Use a darker color in the crease as a shader.

For liquid liner, wet an angled liner brush, then dip the wet brush into the powder. Make a creamy paste on the back of your hand or in the top of the container. The consistency should not be runny. Then trace a thin line around the lash, staying as close to the lash as possible. Once the liner has dried, it can be left as-is, or smudged with a firm shadow brush for a softer effect.
